I went to the entrance to Lanakai which is on a hill above Kailua Beach Park at 7:30 am to catch the morning light. I was surprised how many people we out and about. Lots of school kids on bikes, walkers, joggers, and cars. Early morning light makes all the difference for photos.

We went into Kailua to the Big City Diner for the macadamia nut pancakes and then back to the beach. Once you get settled in the sand you just don't want to leave. The water is warm and there is an endless stream of people, children and dogs.

We went into Kaneohe just a few miles north to a fabric store to pick up fabric for Katilyn's hula group's next show. We were planning on carrying it back with us, but the UPS rate was half of the Hawaiian Airline's cost to carry it on board so we shipped it back.

Ended the afternoon back at Foodland to get a chicken dinner for tonight. Tomorrow it's into Waikiki for dinner with one of Bev's friends from the library who is going to school here.

Aloha
